La Peyrardiere is a characterful stone farmhouse nestled in the vineyards in the Provencal countryside. It sleeps 12 people in 6 bedrooms and is the perfect holiday destination for family get togethers or groups of friends. With beautiful gardens, a large covered terrace, a saltwater pool, a boules court and uninterrupted views of the vines and hills beyond.
The farmhouse is centrally located in the ever popular Cote d’Azur, a great base to explore nearby Aix-en-Provence, St. Tropez, Grimaud, Lorgues, Cannes, Nice, Hyeres, Frejus and many other Provencal and Côte d'Azur towns and villages! La Peyrardiere is easily accessible by air and rail; Nice and Marseille airports are approx 70 minutes away, Toulon-Hyeres airport 40minutes and Aix -en-Provence TGV approx 60minutes. It is located only a 15 minute stroll from the village of Gonfaron which has a weekly market, couple of restaurants and the usual amenities. Large supermarkets are within a 10 minute drive.
The farmhouse, La Peyrardiere, is not only a fabulous summer holiday location, it is also ideal for other holidays and bringing families and friends together. Some wonderful times to visit are Autumn (grape and olive harvest, flea markets and cooler weather- still can swim until November) and Spring ( all sorts of interesting festivities from Easter, May Day, Transhumance and the local Gonfaron festival of the winged donkey- Fête de l'Âne à Gonfaron)!
Ground Floor
On the ground floor you will find a fully equipped country style eat-in kitchen with an iron Godin gas range with wood fired oven, a fridge-freezer and a/c.
Doors lead onto the back covered dining terrace. The kitchen connects to the large, comfortable and beautifully decorated living room with a working fire and a smart TV. The room is furnished with an eclectic mix of authentic french furniture and finds.
The Sitting room leads onto a secondary seating area with a cupboard full of toys and books for children. Also a loo, extra fridge, washing machine and tumble dryer.
This opens onto the back terrace with french doors
All living areas downstairs open out onto the sunny south large covered terrace with built in gas bbq, a large dining table to seat 12 and comfortable outdoor seating of 2 outdoor sofas and table football. The covered terrace provides a welcome break from the sunshine and has views over the surrounding vineyards.
First Floor
The first floor has one very large elegant master bedroom (empire bed) with high vaulted ceilings and exposed stone walls. The room has a/c and beautiful views of the mountains and vineyards. There is an en-suite bathroom with a roll top bath, shower and dressing area.
Bedroom 2 has a kingsize double bed with private entrance to the master bathroom, with views of the surrounding vineyards.
Bedroom 3 has a kingsize double bed with en-suite and a/c. Lovely views of the Maures Mountains.
Bedroom 4 has twin beds with a/c. This shares the large family bathroom with bedroom 3.
2nd Floor
Bedroom 5 is a very large charming double (empire bed) featuring exposed stone walls and lovely views.
Bedroom 6 can sleep 3. It has two singles beds and a french cast iron daybed which can accommodate a child with a/c
These rooms share a large family bathroom with a corner bath with bath/shower mixer taps.
All rooms (except bedroom 4) can easily accommodate extra travel cots, camp bed or toddler beds.
Hairdryers are provided in the 3 bathrooms.
Garden
The beautiful gardens are dotted with olive trees and an abundance of rosemary which invite you to lounge by the salt-water pool, relax in the pool house, play boules in the boules court and enjoy the view of the Maures Mountains from the back covered terrace. A rare period pigeonnier (pigeon house) and wheat threshing floor add to the character of the gardens.
The saltwater pool is 8m by 4m and is fenced, but young children must be supervised at all times when the pool is uncovered. Sun loungers, parasols and pool towels are provided. The nearby pool house has a fridge, outdoor tablewares and glasswares and a two seater sofa to escape from the heat of the day.
For the children
The farmhouse is our family holiday home, so is well equipped for families. We have 2 travel cots, 2 highchairs, a cupboard of our own children's toys, books and table football.
The house has Wifi and a Smart TV
Weekly rentals include luxury bed linen, towels and pool towels. Additional housekeeping can be arranged upon request for an additional charge.
A chef can be arranged upon request for an additional charge.
